MyBlueprint – the new student portal for Pathway Planning
Starting in 2023, all students in the Waterloo Region District School Board will begin using MyBlueprint for career/life program planning. All students will have an account in the MyBlueprint platform that is accessible using their WRDSB PAL Login.
Start by going to the MyBlueprint login page. Click on the School Account Login button.
MyBlueprint will be the portal students use for the following career/life planning activities:
- Plan your high school academic program (use the High School Planner)
- View current school year course information (e.g. the courses are on your timetable in the current academic year)
- View your past course records (e.g. your final grade in completed courses)
- View your progress towards your Ontario Secondary School Diploma and your transcript information
- View your progress in your SHSM program towards earning your Red Seal
- Upload community service hours (note: this is NOT happening in the 2023-24 school year – please connect with your guidance counsellor to get a paper copy of the tracking record)
- Complete Course Selection (Portal is open NOW for the 2023-2024 school year – all FHCI students should be completing their course selection process during January and February 2023)
Completing Course Selection using the MyBlueprint platform
- Log into your MyBlueprint Account
- Go into your High School Planner page

Program/Course Planning
In order to graduate, you must complete the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. It is not expected to have your pathway plan decided in grade nine or grade 10, but it is a good idea to explore some possibilities and try some different electives to narrow your choices.
Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the different programs and courses Forest Heights offers. This information is located within the Academics page of the Forest Heights website.
Step 2: Start taking the required courses within the different program areas that interest you so that you have the prerequisites necessary for grade 11 and 12.
Step 3: Once you have decided on a future pathway (most students have a tentative idea by the end of their grade 10 year), speak to your guidance counsellor to see if you will meet the requirements for an apprenticeship, college, university or work pathway.
Diploma Requirements
Academic Difficulty
If you are having difficulty with your courses, you need to make an appointment with your guidance counsellor quickly.
Things to consider before dropping a class:
Go in for extra help
Talk to your teacher and he or she will give you an idea how well you are doing overall and offer suggestions for improvement.
Tutoring
Consider tutoring and other available resources (e.g., Math Homework Help online, Ask a Teacher, etc.)
Deadlines
Know the deadlines for dropping a class. This is especially important when you are taking senior courses as there is a full disclosure date where the dropped course will appear on your transcript.
