Program/Course Planning

In order to graduate, you must complete the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.  It is not expected to have your pathway plan decided in grade nine or grade 10, but it is a good idea to explore some possibilities and try some different electives to narrow your choices.

Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the different programs and courses that Forest Heights offers. This information is located within the Academics page of the Forest Heights website.

Step 2:  Start taking the required courses within the different program areas that interest you so that you have the prerequisites necessary for grade 11 and 12.

Step 3:  Once you have decided on a future pathway (most students have a tentative idea by the end of their grade 10 year), speak to your guidance counsellor to see if you will meet the requirements for an apprenticeship, college, university or work pathway.
