The ACE Medically Fragile program is designed for students with complex medical, physical and developmental needs. In our classroom we focus on a locally developed curriculum which has been created to suit the unique needs and abilities of every student in the program. Students are supported by one Teacher and three Educational Assistants in the classroom, and work closely with a range of specialists to ensure that all students are provided with the correct medical attention, therapy and equipment to allow them to access a range of enriching and challenging learning opportunities each and every day. Personal care support, including toileting support and diaper changing, feeding, and some grooming services, is provided in class for students who require it. The ACE Medically Fragile class is currently able to accommodate a maximum of 10 students per school year.
