June 26th, 2025
The staff of Forest Heights would like to extend our appreciation to all of our students and their families for another wonderful school year. We wish to extend a special thank you and congratulations to our graduating students!
Along with our graduating students, we also have some staff members who will be moving on to positions at other schools in September. Please join me in thanking Mr. Bilkan, Ms. Duimering, Ms. Tanner, and Mr. Uniat – we wish you all the best at your new schools.
For Ms. Vazic, after years of teaching our ACE students at FHCI, today really was her last day of school – she is retiring! Ms. Vazic will be very much missed and we congratulate her as she begins her next chapter.
Mr. Wilson will also be retiring from FHCI after 30 years of teaching here! Mr. Wilson will be missed in science and phys ed classrooms and as a coach. We wish him all the best as he begins his next chapter.
As we wrap up another school year, we hope that you stay safe this summer and are all able to take some time to do the things that you enjoy.
Final Report Card Pick Up
Semester Two Final Report Cards will be available for pick up at the main office from Monday, July 7th – Thursday, July 10th, from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. Final grades will also be available to students through myBlueprint as of July 7th.
Any unclaimed report cards will be given to returning students on the first day of school.
Student Timetables for Next Year
Over the past three weeks, guidance counselors have been finalizing student timetables for the 2025-2026 school year. The Guidance Office will close as of June 27th and the appointment request form will no longer receive entries. Counsellors will not be able to respond to emails or phone messages while the office is closed for the summer.
Counsellors will contact students in late August or early September to discuss timetable issues stemming from final grades, conflicts, or summer school results. Students should begin to check their WRDSB email regularly in the last weeks of August. The Guidance Department will re-open the appointment request form and provide information regarding potential timetable changes once school begins.
Student timetables will be emailed out to students in the last week of August along with information about the first day of school.
Returning Chromebooks
Students who are leaving the WRDSB (including graduates) are expected to return their Chromebooks, chargers and all other loaned items to the Main Office. Chromebooks that are not returned will be disabled by WRDSB Information Technology Services. If Chromebooks and chargers are required for summer school, they may be returned at the end of August.
Google Accounts
Students who are leaving the WRDSB will have their Google Drive and their WRDSB email accounts closed over the summer. It’s recommended that students back up all documents and emails to their personal drive/accounts before June 27th, 2025. Apps such as Google Takeout can make this process easier.
Summer School
Students who have registered for a summer school course should continue to monitor their WRDSB Gmail account for communications about their course. Summer school courses will be accessed through the WRDSB Brightspace platform. To access the Virtual Learning Environment go to wrdsb.elearningontario.ca – the username and password for WRDSB students is the same as their PAL username and password.
