FHCI is located on the traditional land of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Neutral peoples. Forest Heights Collegiate Institute honors our Indigenous Communities during this week of reconciliation and beyond. We pledge to educate ourselves as staff, students, and community members about the experiences of our Indigenous communities, the calls to action, and the process of reconciliation. We commit to remembering and advocating for the survivors of residential schools, and those who never made it home. We acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies of the Indigenous Peoples with whom we share this land today.  From September 27th to October 1st, please join us in our journey as we learn, teach, and practice the act of reconciliation.
