We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Forest Heights students and families a safe, restful, and happy holiday season.

Over the last several months, we have appreciated your ongoing patience and support as we have adjusted and adapted to teaching and learning during a global pandemic.  We hope that you are able to take some time to relax, and we look forward to 2021 with a great deal of hope and optimism for a better future!

The school will be closed from December 21st to Jan. 1st, and we are planning to return to school on Monday, January 4th Cohort A will be learning from home and Cohort B will be at school for Course 1 (link to Quadmester Two calendar).

Just a reminder that our first School Council meeting of the new year will be on January 13th, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.  This meeting will occur virtually and more information will be available early in January.

Any decision to close schools or move from in-person to distance learning would be made by the Ministry of Education or Region of Waterloo Public Health. At this time, there has been no direction to close or move to distance learning after the holiday break.  We will share any information related to the return to school as soon as it becomes available. Any updates regarding the status of school closures, the distribution of technology, or a move to full distance learning will be posted to the school and board websites (www.wrdsb.ca), School Day and on the WRDSB’s social media channels: Twitter: @WRDSB  Facebook: facebook.com/wrdsb and Instagram: @wr_dsb.

We recognize that these are challenging times and that COVID-19 cases continue to climb across our province. We ask that staff, students and families please continue to follow the advice of Public Health.

With your help, we look forward to welcoming students back in person in January.
