Our co-presidents, Asha Bullerwell and Brooklyn Louis, along with several other leadership students have started a new campaign that brings attention to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The United Nations developed the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, identifying 17 target areas needing improvement by 2030. These goals aim to make the world a better, more sustainable place. Forest Heights will be contributing to each goal through various events and fundraisers running until April.
For example, last Thursday a group sat in the foyer sharing information about poverty. They showcased items that cost $1.25 in Canada which is the daily per capital international poverty line set by the World Bank. This Thursday they will look at the Zero Hunger Goal.
Feel free to stop by Thursday at lunch to support these passionate students and Forest Heights’ involvement in the UN goals.
