The Safe Caring and Inclusive School Committee (SCIS) celebrated World Food Day on Thursday October 17th to raise awareness on hunger and poverty issues around the world. They handed out free food samples from various cuisines and engaged in conversations with their peers on the topics of poverty and hunger. They talked about solutions that the Waterloo region and global community currently implements in order to address these issues. The sushi, bruschetta, nanaimo bars, and homemade brownies did not last long! Way to go SCIS!
