In May 2018, the Board approved the commencement of a Secondary School Boundary Study for Southwest Kitchener involving Huron Heights S.S., Forest Heights C.I., and Cameron Heights C.I. The purpose of the boundary study is to reduce enrollment pressure at Huron Heights S.S.

The initial report will be presented to the Board later this Fall, followed by a public consultation process. The study includes a formal working group of board staff, administrators, parents, and students, which will work through boundary options and recommendations. Principals will select 3 parent and 3 students members from each school to participate in the working group. The group will meeting approximately every 2 weeks until a final recommendation is presented to Trustees later in the Spring.

If you are interested in learning more about the study, Planning Staff from the Board will be available to answer questions at the School Council Meeting on October 10th.  If you would like to volunteer for the working group, please contact Tina Rowe at Tina_Rowe@wrdsb.ca.
