GPP3OI Leadership and Peer Helping – Themes
Grade 11 and 12 students who are interested in contributing to their school and/or community will; develop skills in communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, and conflict management; and apply those skills in leadership and/or peer support roles – for example, as a peer tutor in a classroom. Taught by teachers from the Counselling Department, these experiential learning credits introduce students to developing leadership skills.
Classroom placements will allow for scaled exposure to skill development that will be helpful in building their leadership competencies.
